At GillExplore, we are always here to answer any questions you may have. Below, we have provided answers to frequently asked questions. If the answer you are looking for is not here, please contact the Digital Support Team.

How do I register for GillExplore?

Please ensure you have your school roll number and your current school booklists to hand to successfully register for GillExplore.
  1. Launch your web browser
  2. Go to www.gillexplore.ie/registration
  3. Select the red button if you are a primary teacher or the blue button if you are a secondary school teacher.
  4. Enter the email address you wish to use for GillExplore.
  5. Select a password to secure your GillExplore account.
  6. Enter your personal details, including your school roll number.
  7. Click Find School. GillExplore will automatically add your school’s details.
  8. Review your school’s details to ensure the correct information is displayed. If incorrect, check that you have entered the correct school roll number.*
  9. Select your class level from the drop-down list.
  10. Choose the subjects that you currently teach this class.
  11. Upload a booklist for this class profile.**
  12. If you are teaching another class level that you wish to register for, click Add Class Profile. Otherwise proceed to the next step.
  13. Accept the Terms and Conditions by ticking the box.
  14. Click Create Account.
*If your school information cannot be found please contact the GillExplore Digital Support Team.
** If your school runs a book rental scheme, or for any other reason you don’t have a booklist to complete the registration form, please contact your local sales representative to verify your adoption of a Gill Education title.

How do I log in to GillExplore?

  1. Launch your web browser.
  2. Go to www.gillexplore.ie/login
  3. Enter the email address you used to register on GillExplore.
  4. Enter your GillExplore password.
  5. Click Login.

What are the access rules for GillExplore?

All users who register for GillExplore will be given immediate 30-day trial access to the resources for the classes/subjects they indicated during registration. Users who prove they have adopted a Gill Education title by uploading their booklist will be given full access to those resources on GillExplore for the current academic year.

Can I use GillExplore on my tablet or mobile device?

Yes. GillExplore is the first, fully responsive digital resources platform from an Irish education publisher. For you, this means a consistent user experience when accessing and using GillExplore, regardless of the type of device you are using. It also means that it is optimised for touch navigation, making your experience seamless and effective whether you are using it on an IWB or a mobile device.

Why do I need a booklist to register for GillExplore?

GillExplore requires teachers to upload a booklist for each class level and subject that they teach. This allows us to quickly verify the adoption of a Gill Education title, ensuring that we provide you with access to the correct resources on the platform.

Can I register for GillExplore without a booklist?

If your school runs a book rental scheme, or for any other reason you don’t have a booklist to complete the registration form, please contact your local sales representative to verify your adoption of a Gill Education title.

I cannot remember my GillExplore username.

  1. Your GillExplore username is the email address that you used when you registered on the platform.
  2. If you cannot remember this email address please contact the GillExplore Digital Support Team.

I cannot remember my GillExplore password.

1. You can easily reset your GillExplore password by going to www.gillexplore.ie/password
2. Enter the email address you registered for GillExplore in the box provided.
3. We will email you a new password.
4. Log in to GillExplore using your email address and the new password.

We would recommend that you change your password as soon as you can to something that you will be able to remember. You can do this by clicking My Profile.

I don’t have access to the correct resources.

  1. Log in to GillExplore at www.gillexplore.ie/login
  2. Click My Profile, which can be found in the menu at the top of your screen.
  3. Ensure your school roll number is correct; update it if required.
  4. Ensure your class information is correct; update it if required.
  5. Ensure your subject information is correct; update it if required.
  6. Save the changes made to your profile.
  7. Click My Dashboard and if you still do not have the correct access, please contact the GillExplore Digital Support Team.

How can I change the school associated with my GillExplore account?

  1. Log in to GillExplore at www.gillexplore.ie/login
  2. Click My Profile, which can be found in the menu at the top of your screen.
  3. Update your school roll number. This should automatically update your school information. If the school information is incorrect, check that you have entered the correct school roll number.*
  4. Save the changes made to your profile.
*If your school information cannot be found please contact the GillExplore Digital Support Team.

How can I change the class level associated with my GillExplore account?

  1. Log in to GillExplore at www.gillexplore.ie/login
  2. Click My Profile, which can be found in the menu at the top of your screen.
  3. Update your class level.
  4. Save the changes made to your profile.

How do I change the subjects associated with my account?

  1. Log in to GillExplore at www.gillexplore.ie/login
  2. Click My Profile, which can be found in the menu at the top of your screen.
  3. Update your subject information with the correct data.
  4. Save the changes made to your profile.

How can I make a change to my current booklist?

If a change has been made to your booklist since your original submission, please email your booklist in Word or PDF format to the GillExplore Digital Support Team at digitalsupport@gill.ie. Please include your GillExplore username and your school roll number in the email.
